(Original Caption) The late Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, one of the world's most famous spiritualists as he appeared in his study surrounded by photographs and miscellaneous objects alleged to prove the existence of a spirit world whose inhabitants frequently returned to earth. The photographs were supposedly made of departed spirits upon their return through the medium of specially endowed persons gathered in seances. Many of Sir Arthur's followers are now awaiting the earthly manifestation of his own spirit.
